Sangsang town

Sangsang town is under the jurisdiction of ANGREN county. It is located in the west of ANGREN County, 277km away from Shigatse and 67km away from ANGREN County, with an average altitude of 4560m. Duoxiong Tibetan cloth flows through the north of the town. With a total area of 2733.48 square kilometers, it is an agricultural and pastoral exchange area. 219 national highway runs through the town, with convenient transportation and frequent passing personnel. "Sangsang" in Tibetan means a place with good water quality and grass quality. Mulberry butter is a specialty of Mulberry Town. Historical evolution

The Sangsang District Committee was formally established in 1961, and the people's commune was established in March 1970. In 1987, the district was removed and changed into Sangsang township. In 1997, it was changed into Sangsang town.
