Guangdong Xingfu farm, founded in 1952, is a large and medium-sized state-owned agricultural enterprise which mainly cultivates tropical and subtropical crops and integrates agriculture, industry, commerce and trade.
At present, the total land area is 125000 mu, including 76000 mu of cultivated land, with 27 production teams, 32 residential areas and a total population of 4282 people (2010). At present, the farm Department plans to build a small town, with one middle school and one primary school, which can be used for the children of all workers. The Department has a hospital with complete facilities and equipment. In 1952, Xingfu farm was established on the red soil of Leizhou Peninsula, under the West Guangdong Reclamation Bureau and named as "state-owned Xingfu reclamation farm". At the beginning of 1955, South China Reclamation Bureau adjusted again and implemented enterprise management. In January 1957, with the approval of the Ministry of land reclamation, it was renamed "state-owned happy farm". In April 1969, it was reorganized into the fifth regiment of the seventh division of the production and Construction Corps of the Guangzhou Military Region of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, and implemented militarized management. In October 1974, the system of land reclamation was restored and renamed as "state owned happy farm of Guangdong Province", which is still in use today. In 1993, with the approval of Zhanjiang Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, the brand of "Guangdong happiness Industrial Corporation" was added. Xingfu farm is located in the central and southern part of Leizhou Peninsula, 120 km away from Zhanjiang in the north and 50 km away from Hai'an Wharf in the south. National Highway 207, Guangdong Hainan railway and Zhanhai Expressway all pass through the farm, which is the only way to Hainan Province by land. The traffic is very convenient. in the 60 years since the establishment of the farm, the farm economy has developed rapidly, with four pillar industries of sugarcane, rubber, sisal and forest. The farm is a demonstration base of dry farming in the Ninth Five Year Plan of the Ministry of agriculture of China, a high-tech experimental site of South China Agricultural University, the first batch of "100 projects of scientific and technological innovation" in Guangdong Province and the implementation unit of "988 plan of prospering Zhanjiang through science and technology" in Zhanjiang City. It has a good foundation of modern agriculture and a first-class investment environment. over the years, the farm has successively won the honorary titles of the national top 400 in afforestation and greening, the national advanced collective in greening, the "May 1st" labor certificate unit of Guangdong Province, the civilized unit of Guangdong Province, the advanced unit in scientific and technological work of Guangdong Province, and the advanced unit in safety production of Guangdong agricultural reclamation during the "11th Five Year Plan".
