It is connected with Dayan street in the east to Xiangshan and the foot of the mountain in the west of Shizi, Xianghe street in the south to Changshui road in the south, dongjiehe residential district in the west to Xiangjiang Road in the north, Shuhe street in the West and Baisha Township in Yulong County in the north. It covers an area of about 20 square kilometers, with a population of 55708 (in 2010), 855 agricultural households and 2575 people. Naxi is the main ethnic group. The office is located in Fuhui road. The average sea level is 2400 meters. Xi'an Street is the seat of the Party committee and government of Lijiang City and Gucheng District, as well as the political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological, financial and information center of the Gucheng district and even Lijiang City. There are 25 ethnic groups including Han, Bai, Hui, Zang, Susu and Pumi, mainly Naxi. Dayan town was changed in 1950, commune in 1958 and town in 1979.
