Geyi town is located in the northeast of Xuanwei City. The town government is 42 kilometers away from Xuanwei county. Jianjiao cave is located at the waist of Xiaohongshan, 500 meters south of Geyi town. It is a limestone cave. In July 1983, the cultural relics investigation team found a batch of stone tools and pottery pieces in the cave, and collected 3 stone tools, 6 stone tools and 1 hole piercing stone knife. All of them are polished stone tools and 1 made stone tool. It was identified as the middle and late Neolithic relics by provincial, prefectural and county level archaeological identification. In 2002, cultural relic experts in Qujing City, Yunnan Province, conducted the first trial excavation of Jianjiao cave. More than 5000 pieces of stone tools, pottery and other cultural relics were excavated, two fossil sites of paleontology were found, and more than 200 pieces of animal fossils such as Stegodon, rhinoceros, bear and hyena were collected. This proves that Geyi was inhabited by human beings more than 3000 years ago and was listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit in Yunnan Province in 2005.

June 6th Uprising

The memorial garden is located in the campus of No.1 Middle School in Geyi town. There is an exhibition room for the "June 6th uprising" in the school, displaying 56 revolutionary cultural relics and pictures. In the memorial Pavilion, there is a list of 132 martyrs.
