Shanglan Street
Shanglan Street office is located in the northwest end of Longcheng Taiyuan, Fenhe River runs through the whole territory, a water point. Shanglan sub district office is a new type of agriculture related sub district office established in 2001 by the former Shanglan town of Jiancaoping district after the township was withdrawn and merged. The whole street covers an area of 14.10 square kilometers, with a population of 48736 (in 2010), an agricultural population of about 6800, and a cultivated land area of 3659 mu. The Street Office administers Shanglan village, Tutang village and three community neighborhood committees of Huagong, Taizhi and Hanquan.

On November 29, 1948, the village was liberated and the village office of Lancun was established. On August 291951 (based on the historical data of Taiyuan administrative division), Lan village was divided into the third district under the jurisdiction of the city from the five districts of Yangqu county. Shanglan village government was established. It has jurisdiction over 8 streets (Danan, Tongshun, Dadong, Qinglong, xihou, Tanshi, Daqian, Shizi Street). On November 26, 1953, it was changed into Shanglan Town People's government, under the jurisdiction of the third district of the city. On January 2, 1954, it was transferred into the new urban area under the jurisdiction of the city and changed into Shanglan sub district office. Lancun people's commune was established in August 1958, under the jurisdiction of Beicheng District People's Committee, Lancun brigade and four neighborhood committees. On April 27, 1963, it was changed into a rural people's commune (originally a city commune). In March 1967, it was renamed the reform committee of Lancun commune, under the leadership of the suburban reform committee. On September 6, 1981, the people's Government of the northern suburb was established, and then the district reform committee ceased to exercise its functions and powers, and the reform committee of Lancun commune was renamed the Management Committee of Lancun commune. On May 9, 1984, the provincial government approved the establishment of Shanglan Town People's government by No. 47 document of Jinzheng letter. The two production teams were transformed into two village committees, and the neighborhood committees were put under the jurisdiction of Beicheng. On January 1, 1998, due to the adjustment of the administrative division of Taiyuan City, the former Shanglan town in the northern suburb was renamed Shanglan town in Jiancaoping district. In the same year, Shanglan town co operated with Shanglan sub district office, under the jurisdiction of two village committees and nine neighborhood committees (Tutang, Dongzi, Qingxi, Nanshan, Shiqian, Taiji 10%, Taiji Erju, taizhiyiju, taizhierju). In 2001, Shanglan town was abolished and merged into Shanglan street.
