Located in the central and southern part of Dushan County, boshu town is a combination of the original Dayang Township, boshu town and Fengdong District of Jiali town. It is the place where Hu Jintao, then Secretary of Guizhou provincial Party committee, personally guided the implementation of "China New Zealand ecological grassland animal husbandry cooperation project". The town covers an area of 560 square kilometers with a total population of 51000. With convenient transportation, Lanhai expressway, guixinao highway and national highway 210 run through the whole area, with superior ramp; the town government is 25 km away from the county, 65 km away from Duyun, 160 km away from Guiyang, 450 km away from Fangchenggang, Guangxi, and 850 km away from Guangzhou. The climate is pleasant, with an altitude of about 1000 meters. The ecological environment is good, with 340000 mu of forest land, 100000 mu of grass hill and slope, 50000 mu of wuhanzi base, "Yaya prairie" 20000 mu, 20000 mu of high-quality rice base, 20000 mu of tea base, 20000 beef cattle base and 20000 mutton sheep base. The water source is abundant, with 7 rivers and 2 16.5 million cubic meters of reservoirs. It is rich in mineral resources, with marble, limestone and other mineral reserves of more than 500 million tons. At present, superior town is giving prominence to its resource advantages, focusing on the positioning of "New Zealand style town", striving to build stone processing park, bearing industrial park and agricultural and sideline products processing park.

On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name the superior town as the National Health township for the period of 2017-2019.

Agriculture

According to local conditions, the town vigorously develops high-quality rice, wheat, corn, soybean, rape, potato, watermelon, tomato, green pepper, wax gourd, pumpkin, bean, mushroom, pepper and other crops. Chaodong dam is a commodity grain base in Dushan County, with fertile land, moderate climate and sufficient water resources. The high-quality rice produced is sold well all over the country.

Animal Husbandry

Guizhou forage seed breeding farm, a project of China and New Zealand, presents a scene of "the sky is grey, the wild is vast, and cattle and sheep can be seen in the wind blowing grass". At present, there are 5 villages with more than 5000 mu grassland, 7 villages with more than 3000 mu grassland, 6 villages with more than 2000 mu grassland and 4 villages with less than 2000 mu grassland in the town, with a total of more than 60000 Mu grassland. Open grassland, rich water resources and convenient transportation provide a good prerequisite for the development of animal husbandry. Based on resources, the town established a new economic growth point to cultivate animal husbandry, vigorously develop dairy cattle, beef cattle, binary sows, ternary piglets, broilers, ducks, geese breeding development goals, animal husbandry has become the main pillar industry of the town.

Forestry

Natural forest, aerial seeding forest and artificial forest are distributed in 12 villages of the town. The forest coverage rate of the town is more than 45%, and that of tanyao village is 98%. It is named "National Aerial Seeding Forest Demonstration Base" by the Ministry of forestry of the people's Republic of China, and is one of the three major forest areas in Dushan county. At present, the state has implemented the "Pearl River defense project" of 38000 mu in Shangshang Town, closing hillsides for afforestation and protecting ecology where there are natural forests.

Buyi people's customs

The marriage of Buyi people is monogamous, and close relatives don't marry, but "Uncle marriage" is popular. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, the custom of "catching up with the watch" was still prevalent in Buyi areas. Unmarried men and women can take advantage of festivals, going to the market or going out to work, and gather together to sing songs. If a woman takes a fancy to a man, she will throw her embroidered ball to the other party. If a man agrees, she will make an appointment not far from the venue to sing folk songs and pour out her love. However, under the feudal system, it was difficult for lovers to form a lifelong partner. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, marriage must be well matched and betrothal gifts should be emphasized. The early marriage arranged by parents is called "carrying relatives". In some areas of Buyi Nationality, the marriage system of "transferring houses" prevailed. It is popular to stay at home. Or the custom of "Zujia". In modern times, Buyi people's funerals carried out coffin burial. They had to ask witches to open the way. Some of them cut down cattle to run a fast to pass the dead, which was called "daga".
