Jiuchao town

Jiuchao town is under the jurisdiction of Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province.

It is located in the northwest of Liping County, adjacent to MaoGong town in the East, koujiang Township in the south, Zhima town and zhaihao town in Rongjiang County in the west, Shangzhong town and mengyan town in the north. It is the west gate of Liping County.

Jiuchao village is 61 km away from Liping County and 35 km away from Rongjiang county. 308 provincial road passes through the town.

The town covers an area of 294.8 square kilometers, with 15 administrative villages, 55 natural villages, 154 villager groups, 6297 households and 28203 people.

Evolution of organizational system

Jiuchao township was under the jurisdiction of MaoGong District in front of Jiuchao town. In 1992, the whole county carried out the institutional reform of withdrawing districts and merging townships to build towns. The three small townships of Aizhong, shunzhai and Jiuchao were merged into Jiuchao township. In 1999, with the approval of the provincial people's Government, Jiuchao withdrew townships to build towns.
