Baojing Township
Baojing township is in the south of Zhenyuan County. It covers an area of 69 square kilometers. With a population of more than 10000, it has jurisdiction over six village committees. Historical evolution
In 1952, two townships, Baojing and Songbai, were established. In 1958, the township was withdrawn and merged into Jinbao commune. In 1961, Baojing and Songbai communes were established. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1992, it was merged into Baojing township.

Big event
At about 23:30 on January 25, 2014, a village fire broke out in Baojing Dazhai village, Baojing Township, Zhenyuan County, Guizhou Province. The village fire was put out at about 3:50 a.m. on January 26. According to preliminary statistics, the fire affected seven villagers' groups, burned 148 buildings and 975 rooms, affected 296 households and 1111 people, and caused direct economic loss of more than 9.8 million yuan.
