Liuchang town

Liuchang town is a town under the jurisdiction of Xifeng County, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is located in the northwest of Xifeng County and on the South Bank of Wujiang reservoir area. It faces yanglongsi town and xiaozhaiba town across Mohe River in the East, xiaozhaiba town and luwo Township in the South and luwo Township in the West. It faces Jinsha County across Wujiang reservoir area in the north. It is 33 kilometers away from the county, 21 kilometers away from Sichuan Guizhou railway, 210 national highway and GUI Zun expressway.

The town is surrounded by water on three sides, with 89 kilometers of river reach and water area of more than 10000 mu. The lowest altitude is 760 meters and the highest is 1304.8 meters. It is a typical plateau karst mountain area with annual average temperature of 150C, annual rainfall of 1000-1300mm and frost free period of 290 days. It is a typical dry farming town and the town with the largest number of immigrants in the county. The land and water transportation is convenient, and the power supply, telecommunication, mobile, distance education and other networks cover the whole town. the territory is rich in tourism and cultural resources. The Red Army crossed the Wujiang River in the South during the Long March, leaving a large area of red soil and red army stories; visiting the ancient tombs of the Eastern Han Dynasty in gufenba, appreciating the mysterious sipingyang opera, recalling the historical appearance; the gorge scenery in the reservoir area is beautiful, approaching the stalagmite cave, experiencing the natural magic. Therefore, Liuchang has the reputation of "red Liuchang" and "hometown of culture". Now, Liuchang, an open city, is making great efforts to build a former economic fruit forest planting base mainly composed of pear, orange, grape and jujube, adding another unique landscape and establishing a good image of Bijie area to the north gate of Xifeng in Guiyang.
