Located in the middle of Meigu county. It is adjacent to Longmen and Jueluo townships in the East, BAPU town in the south, Dianbu and halou townships in the west, and Hagu Township in the north. The terrain inclines from East, West and north to South Central. Jimugeze ridge in the northwest, 2736 m above sea level; ariguyida Creek in the south, 2000 m above sea level. The rural area is 40.98 square kilometers. Tuomu village, township governance center, 2200 meters above sea level. No road, about 20 kilometers away from the county. It governs 5 villages of Tuomu, Erkou, luogan, kuhemo and muboluo, 33 groups, 638 households and 2841 people, all belonging to Yi nationality. The population density is 69.33 per square kilometer.
Historical evolution
In August 1956, two townships, Tuomu and Maoge, were set up respectively in Maoge of Tuomu village and luogan village, and they were under the jurisdiction of Hagu district. In October 1957, the people's committees of the two townships were established respectively. In October 1958, Maoge township was abolished and merged into Tuomu Township, with a total of 9 villages under its jurisdiction. In 1959, the township government moved to luogan. On April 1, 1963, it was changed to the ancient area of equ. In May 1968, the Township Reform Commission was established. In May 1972, the three villages of leji'amo, Hamo and Youluo under its jurisdiction were divided into Tuanjie Township and shubuyiluo village into Longmen township. In 1973, the township office moved back to Tuomu village. In March 1974, it was converted into a commune. On July 12, 1981, the commune reform committee was changed into a management committee. In July 1984, the township system was restored and the township government was established.
On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Tuomu Township and put its administrative area under the jurisdiction of Jueluo township. The people's Government of Jueluo township was stationed at No. 2, group 4, Jueluo village.
Basic introduction
In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 712400 yuan (318000 yuan for agriculture, 21400 yuan for forestry, 193000 yuan for animal husbandry and 180000 yuan for sideline and fishery), with 5065 mu of cultivated land and 827000 kg of grain output. The main products are corn, buckwheat, potato, walnut and apple. There are 849 yellow cattle, 17 Buffalo, 40 horses, 3794 pigs, 3024 goats and 2396 sheep. The township has one commercial purchasing and marketing group and one bank credit union; three rural primary schools with 159 students; one health center and one medical staff.
