Luomoyida township is located in the south of Meigu county. The northeast is adjacent to lamuajue township; the northwest is adjacent to Moni township; and the South half is adjacent to Guluo (wanbalu) township of Zhaojue County. The township governs solomoyida village, 2400 meters above sea level, 60 kilometers away from the county seat. There is a rural highway connecting with meizhuo highway. The terrain is high in the southwest, with an altitude of 2860 meters; it is slightly lower in the northeast, with an altitude of 2210 meters, belonging to alpine mountainous areas. The total area of the township is 33.72 square kilometers. It governs 6 villages of luomoyida, Moni, Zishi, mugejue, Weishi and Buer, 28 groups, 564 households and 2468 people, including 2466 Yi people and 2 Han people. The population density is 73.19 per square kilometer.
In September 1973, part of the communes of akjue and Moni established the United commune and the commune reform committee. At the end of 1981, it was renamed lomoida commune. In July 1984, the commune system was abolished and the township government was established.
On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's government decided to abolish luomoyida Township and establish Lama town. The original administrative region of luomoyida township is the administrative region of Lama town. The people's Government of Lama town is located at No. 1, luobucaiga street, luobucaiga village.
In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 1290600 yuan (341400 yuan for agriculture, 11700 yuan for forestry, 619500 yuan for animal husbandry, 318000 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of regular cultivated land was 6404 mu, and the total grain output was 1015000 kg. The main products are potato, buckwheat and oats. There are 558 cattle, 225 horses, 3940 pigs, 1685 goats and 2478 sheep. There are 1 commercial purchasing and marketing group and 1 Bank Credit Union in the township, 4 rural primary schools with 98 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff.
