Hagan Township

Hagan township is under the jurisdiction of Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. HAGA township of Wagang county was established in 1955, and was transferred to Zhaojue County in 1960. HAGA and Huoluo townships were established in 1962. HAGA township was changed into a commune in 1972. Hagan commune was renamed in 1981, and Hagan township was established in 1984.

Hagan township is located in the northeast of the county, 80 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 45.26 square kilometers and has a population of 5251 (2017). Vasi village governs six village committees, namely majihaga, sidanchu, woerti, erjuekeku, maoluoke and Vasi village. The main agricultural products in Hagan township are corn, soybean, sorghum and Hu Dou. Specialty peanut, sesame, rapeseed, cotton, walnut, pepper, apple, pear, citrus.
