Mayizu township is under the jurisdiction of Jinyang County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1956, it set up marijiao Township, changed its name to Dongfeng Township in 1968, changed its name to commune in 1973, changed its name to mayizu commune in 1981, and set up mayizu Township in 1984.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish mayizu Township and divide its administrative area into tiandiba Town, which is located at 128 xinyingpan Road, Chengnan community.

Mayizu township is located in the east of the county, 15.5 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 34.6 square kilometers and has a population of 9000. Jinluo highway passes through. It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely Mieke, mayizu, tepulo and tangjiawuji.
