Nanshan Lisu township was established in 1957, merged into Han District commune in 1959, established Jinsha Lisu Township in 1962, changed to Jinsha commune in 1972, and resumed Jinsha Lisu Township in 1984. Up to now, they still keep the custom of drying the grain with the Bagu building. On the fifth day of the first month of each year, they kill roosters to present the Bagu building. The next year, the harvest of the Bagu will be more abundant. However, the Bagu building has long disappeared in the Lisu inhabited areas of Yunnan Province. The dried vegetables eaten by the Lisu People in Dechang maintain a very strong national characteristics. Every winter, after the vegetables are slightly dried, they are braided and hung on the roof beams of the village. When the young people don't pick them up, they take them off, wash them and cut them. They can be fried and cooked to become a good food. Today, the Lichu people in Dechang still keep the ancient custom of weaving linen. White linen is still the dominant fabric for women's pleated skirts. Therefore, planting, drying, twisting, spinning, weaving and making clothes are still popular among women in Dechang.
