[brief introduction] Badi township is under the jurisdiction of Derong County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1958, it was established as a Japanese township. In 1974, it was changed into a commune. In 1984, it was renamed as Bari township.
Eight township is located in the east of the county, 23 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 295.69 square kilometers and has a population of 1355 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 13 village committees, including Xueba, Gongba, budang, baiding, rixiding, Tonggu, Ziwa, heli, gayongranggu, Yagang, Tongdu, Heili and Nagong.
The agriculture of Badi Township mainly produces highland barley, corn, wheat, barley and buckwheat. Economic trees include walnut, pepper, apple, etc. Produce Cordyceps, Fritillaria, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, astragalus, cortex moutan and other precious medicinal materials.
