Tuoba Township

Tuoba township is under the jurisdiction of Ganzi County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of the Tusi of hormashu. Tuoba township is located in the southeast of the county, 10 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 63.52 square kilometers and has a population of 3616 (2017). It has jurisdiction over three village committees, namely, La Gongdi, Tuoba and zhalai. Subordinate villages: Tuoba village, chuluo village, Xiluo village, lagodi village, qukalang village, Kaga village, zhalai village, puLong Village

Historical evolution

In 1956, Ruxi Township and puyulong Township were established; in 1959, the two townships were merged and renamed Tuoba township; in 1960, the commune was changed; and in 1983, the township was restored.
