Shachong Township

Shachong township is under the jurisdiction of Daofu County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1959, Danba county was transferred to qianning County, and Shachong township was set up. In 1960, it was changed into a commune. In 1978, qianning county was abolished, and it was transferred to Daofu county. In 1984, it was restored.

Gradually, the villagers improved the soil, fertilized and planted "Kangqing No.3" and "Tuanjie pea". But before long, the crops were badly bitten by pests. Shan ziluowu, who was very anxious, immediately came to the science and technology book for countermeasures, and rushed to the county town more than 160 kilometers away overnight to buy back pesticides to kill pests for the whole village's crops free of charge. Seeing that the villagers' confidence is increasing, Shan ziluowu organized the whole village farmers and herdsmen to gradually transform the sand and stone land and slope land with low yield and poor harvest into stable production area and "Three Guarantees land". For those poor families, Shan ziluowu gave meticulous care to them: when 15 villagers had no good seeds, Shan ziluowu bought back 2000 Jin of good seeds with freight and lent them to the villagers without seeds; without technology, Shan ziluowu invited technicians from the county to guide the villagers in the aspects of spring ploughing, preparation, seed quality, field management, pest control, etc. After some efforts, more than 70% of the poor households in the village have been lifted out of poverty.
