Malangcuo Township
Malangcuo Township belongs to Yajiang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
Malangcuo township is under its jurisdiction. The Qing Dynasty belonged to Chongxi chieftain of Litang. In 1958, it established malangcuo Township, changed malangcuo commune in 1974, and restored malangcuo Township in 1984. Malangcuo township is located in the middle of the county, 36 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 274.02 square kilometers and has a population of 2058 (2017). The road is open. It has jurisdiction over five village committees: malangcuo, Tang Russia, bade, Yaba and tangzu. The main agricultural production in malangcuo township is corn. Cattle and sheep are the most important animal husbandry. The territory is rich in forest resources, such as Tricholoma matsutake. On June 17, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish malangcuo township.
