Qiuji Township

It is a township under the jurisdiction of Ruoergai County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. There are many places of interest in the territory. There are panzhou ancient city, Gouxiang temple, baozuo battle site, etc. Panzhou ancient city is located in the southwest of Jiaji village, Qiuji Township, about 38km away from dazasi town.

General situation

Panzhou is named after its leader panluozhi, and it is also called AHA (Tuyuhun). According to historical records, panzhou was set up in the third year of Chongning in Song Dynasty (1104 AD), and panzhouwei was set up in hongwuzhong in Ming Dynasty. The ancient city of shangpanzhou is still well preserved after hundreds of years of wind and rain. The spacious gate and the magnificent city wall can be seen from far away. The city sits to the north and to the south, with a rectangular layout. There is a gate in the east of the city. To the north, it is close to the mountains covered with green. To the south, it is a thrilling ridge and river bank. From east to west, it is an ancient forest road with the fragrance of birds and flowers. At the top of the mountain there was a low stone wall, and a trench was dug not far from the foot of the wall. The east gate of the ancient city is 4.7m high, 5.3m wide and 6.3m thick. There are four walls well preserved: the Northeast wall is 82.9m long, 7.8m high, 4m thick above and 6.6m thick below; the north wall is 88m long, 5.5m high, 4m thick above and 7.6m thick below; the west wall is 61.8m long, 7.5m high, 3.5m thick above and 4.4m thick below; the southeast wall is 111.2m long, 7.5m high, 4.7m thick above and 5.2m thick below. The total length of the city wall is 343.9m, and the gates of the city wall are made of rammed earth. The wall was rammed with plate clamp and human force, and the wall construction method was gradually divided up, which made the city wall form a narrow upper and wide lower body, and had a strong military defense ability, which fully reflected the ideological purpose of building the wall.

Important history

According to local legend, the soil for building the wall in panzhou was excavated and transported by manpower from taoen village, 20 miles away. It is still a mystery why the soil was taken from such a far place to build the wall. Panzhou and panzhouwei used to be the center of politics, economy and culture in the history of this area. They played an important role in the economic development, social progress and cultural prosperity here, and fulfilled the sacred mission entrusted by history. On the way to the 25000 Li Long March of the Red Army, the former enemy headquarters of the right route army was stationed here. The site of shangpanzhou ancient city is a historical witness of the feudal dynasties of song, yuan and Ming Dynasties establishing a state and setting up a garrison here. It is a rare historical and cultural heritage in Ruoergai County. At the same time, it is also the site where the former enemy headquarters of the Red Army's right Route Army once stationed. In the past, the gate of panzhou ancient city was brilliant, but today, panzhou is antique. Shangpanzhou ancient city has high ornamental value and cultural relic value. In 1995, the ancient city site was announced as a key cultural relic protection unit at the county level by the county people's government.

Important buildings

Gouxiang temple is located in Gouwa village, Qiuji Township, Ruoergai County. It is one of the earliest temples in Aba state. It has a history of more than 1780 years and is of great scale. It is the central temple of Bon religion in Ruoergai County. There are 7 inner temples and 18 outer temples under Gouxiang temple, which command 128 temples, including some temples in Diebu County, Gansu Province. There are more than 300 sets of magic weapons, more than 1500 scriptures, more than 150 thangkas, thousands of Bodhisattvas and several generations of master xiangpa's relics. Master xiangpa of 26 generations devoted his whole life to the prosperity of Bon religion and made outstanding contributions. In order to commemorate the master forever, the believers cremated his body after his death and put the ashes in the silver tower for later believers to worship.

Historical site

Baozuo battle site is located at the junction of Qiuji Township and baozuo Township in Ruoergai County, 10km long from north to South and 6km wide from east to west. Divided into upper and lower baozuo, most of them are high slopes and forest areas, which are the main points of songgan (Su) old road. The ruins include the bunker and battlefield built by the Kuomintang army and the Dajie temple, the headquarters of the Kuomintang army. On August 29th, 1935, the red 30th army and the red 4th army launched the baozuo campaign. After a day and a night of heroic fighting, they annihilated more than 4000 enemies, captured more than 800 enemies, seized a large number of guns, ammunition and materials, and won a major victory. They opened the channel to the north, enabling the Red Army to go north out of Sichuan and realize its plan to establish the Sichuan Shaanxi Gansu base. It is a state-level cultural relics protection unit.
