Rier township is under the jurisdiction of Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

General situation

It is located in the east of Xiaojin County, the middle reaches of wori River, yijiesi Township in the northwest, Meiwo Township in the southwest, Dawei Township in the East and wori Township in the West. The terrain is long and the terrain is high and low on the north and south sides. The Central Valley area is open and flat. Rierziagou and Haizigou flow into wori River from north to south. The township government is located in rier (meaning shanleng), 27 kilometers away from the county seat. It was originally a village house of Wari Tusi. It is a transliteration of Tibetan place names. The forest volume of Haizigou and rierziagou reaches 200000 cubic meters.

Historical evolution

In 1954, ri'er township was set up; in 1962, it was changed into a commune; in 1966, it was renamed Shengli commune; in 1978, it was restored to ri'er township.

Rier is 28 kilometers away from Siguniang mountain. The natural landscape of muyagou, which is located in the dajiuzhai tourist Ring Road, is unique. Muya is also the place where general yuan Guolian, the commander of Luzhou camp capital of Sichuan Province, died in the war in the Qing Dynasty. Up to now, there are still inscriptions at Muya gully, which has a history of more than 200 years.
