Caoke Tibetan Township

Caoke Tibetan township is located in the northwest of Shimian County. The township government is 63 kilometers away from Shimian County. It is located in Tianwan River scenic spot on the West Bank of Dadu River and the south slope of Gongga mountain. It is adjacent to Kangding and Jiulong counties of Ganzi Prefecture in the west, crab snail and Xinmin townships of Shimian County in the south, and Tianwan township of Shimian County in the northeast.

Tianwan river is the largest river in Gongga Mountain, flowing through CAOKE township. In the scenic area, there are many peaks with steep peaks. More than 10 peaks above 5000 meters above sea level are covered with snow all the year round, which is particularly spectacular. Lianhua Mountain is like seven petals of lotus. Rare animals and birds live in the dense forest and rocks. You can see the sunrise, the sea of clouds, the Buddha's light and the sunset. You can see five great glaciers in the distance. At the confluence of the tributaries, there are grotesque rocks, dangerous rocks, deep canyons, and peaks and sky. The "one line sky" of lamakou is changing step by step. Due to the uncanny craftsmanship of nature, some giant rock cliffs are similar to dragon, snake, animal and human forms, such as Lama rock, Kongming stone, serpentine rock, Wanlong cliff, fairy rock, Baojian rock, etc. there are more than 10 waterfalls in the canyon. Some of them fall to the bottom of the ground, and some of them are terraced. There are seven waterfalls in the 1.5km long area of the bailuoshan waterfall group, ranging in height from several meters to 100 meters. Heilongtan waterfall falls three times and can be heard several miles away. Fumen waterfall is a magnificent waterfall. The ape man waterfall roars incessantly. There are also large hot water and small hot water hot springs in the scenic area. Yaoshui spring is known as the magic medicine in the local area. It contains more than 60 kinds of trace elements beneficial to human body. There are more than 2500 species of vascular plants and seed plants, including 34 species of rare plants; there are more than 400 species of wild animals, including more than 20 species of rare animals, such as white lipped deer, golden monkey and red panda.
