Kongping Township

Kongping township is located in the south of Yucheng District, 10 kilometers away from Ya'an City. It is the core area of Zhougongshan tourist resort and the location of Zhougongshan hot spring park. Covering an area of 63.7 square kilometers, the township has 12 administrative villages including Yuxing, Guanlong, Xincun, hekan, Xinrong, Xinmin, Baixiang, Liba, Qishu, Datian, Dazhu and Bajiao.

By the end of 2018, there were 2966 households and 10767 people in the township, including 9674 agricultural population and 919 non-agricultural population. Kongping township has more than 6000 mu of cultivated land, 61800 mu of forest, 50000 mu of bamboo, 1500 mu of tea garden and 3000 mu of kiwifruit. It is a typical agricultural township in mountainous area.

It is a typical agricultural township in mountainous area. The township government, 11 kilometers from the city center, was established in 1950. In June 2006, kongping Township and Liba Township were merged to form new kongping township. There are two centralized towns. Kongping center has a population of more than 600 people, who go to the market every 1, 4 and 7 days. Liba center has a population of more than 400 people, who go to the market every 3, 6 and 9 days. There are 5 primary and secondary schools and 2 health centers in the township. Kongping township is rich in forest and bamboo resources. At present, 10 villages have access to village roads. Mobile and Unicom networks cover the whole Township, and communication is convenient. It is a key Township integrating tourism, vacation, business and housing, and processing of agricultural and sideline products.

Rural economy

In 2007, the Party committee and government of kongping Township made great efforts to implement the development idea of "strengthening industry, helping agriculture to increase income, consolidating foundation and improving people's livelihood", uniting and leading the broad masses of Party members, cadres and masses in the township to realize the GDP of 46 million yuan; the per capita net income of farmers reached 3751 yuan; two stone development and ecological breeding enterprises were introduced, and investment of 10 million yuan was attracted.

In 2007, kongping Township consolidated the achievements of returning farmland to forest of 17937.82 mu, forest management of 42745.5 mu, realized the forest economy of 2.23 million yuan, transferred 3350 labor force and exported 16.75 million yuan of labor economic income, and formed the planting base of traditional Chinese medicine mainly based on Atractylodes macrocephala. There are 5800 live pigs in the township. The ecological chicken farm in Bajiao village sells 40000 Bajiao chickens annually, and Tianfu rabbit farm sells 30000 meat rabbits annually. In 2007, there are 12100 meat rabbits and Angora rabbits in the township.

Relying on Zhougongshan hot spring, the rural tourism industry is booming. At present, it has formed a three-dimensional reception mode of four star hot spring hotels, three farmhouses and four individual restaurants. Since 2001, it has received 620000 tourists.

In the "peaceful creation" activity of building harmonious kongping, 12 peaceful villages, 2816 peaceful households and 10 peaceful units were created, and kongping township was awarded the title of "peaceful township". In 2007, the rural dragon lantern team won the first place in the first dragon lion lantern competition of the District, and the rural Jianhua library won the title of excellent Rural Library commended by all China Women's Federation.
