Yanchang town

Yanchang town is located at the southernmost end of Yucheng District of Ya'an City, covering an area of 101.4 square kilometers, 47 kilometers away from Ya'an City. It borders Liujiang town of Hongya County in the East, Wawushan town of Hongya County in the south, Wangyu Township in the West and Yanqiao town in the north. It is 8 km away from yupingshan Forest Park and 48 km away from Hongya city.

On December 11, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Ya'an City (cfzm [2019] No. 14): Yanqiao town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Yanchang Town, and Yanchang Town People's government was stationed at No. 6 Yanqian Street in Xing.

Historical population

Yanchang township was established in 1951, the commune was changed in 1958, the township was restored in 1983, and the town was established in 1992.
