The township covers an area of 48.07 square kilometers, bordering Baisha Town in the south, Cao hometown in the East, Chaya Township in the West and Guandu town in the north. A total of 75000 mu of forest land, 2425 mu of arable land; the township governs 4 villages, 21 villager groups, 820 people (2017); there is a party committee, 5 branches, 96 party members; the per capita net income of the township last year was 2647 yuan, and the per capita grain production was 850 kg.

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish huacalyx township.
