Huangtan township is located in the lower Piedmont of Dazhu County, adjacent to tuanba in the East, gaoxue in the west, Chuanzhu in the north and Zhonghe in the south. It covers an area of 23.5 square kilometers, about 17 kilometers away from the county. It has jurisdiction over 5 administrative villages, 43 villager groups, a total population of 5776 (2017), and a cultivated land area of 8667 mu. The climate here is mild and humid. The output value of agriculture has reached 39.68 million yuan. The output value of private economy and township enterprises reached 95 million yuan. The financial and tax revenue reached 1.1 million yuan. In terms of planting industry, ramie planting has become a scale advantage. In the aspect of animal husbandry, chicken, duck and pig breeding are developing rapidly. In terms of industrial structure adjustment, we signed a 400 mu winter pumpkin planting agreement with Daxian agricultural broadcasting school, and order agriculture flourished. An ecological science and technology demonstration park covering an area of 200 mu has been built to plant American jujube, Cangxi Sydney, five star loquat and other high-quality fruits.
