Shuanggong town

Shuanggong town is subordinate to Dazhu County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is located at the northernmost end of Dazhu County, 27 kilometers away from the county. It borders Erlang Township in the north, pubao Township in the south, Shihe town in the West and Daxian County in the East. The town covers an area of 31.2 square kilometers, and has jurisdiction over five administrative villages and one neighborhood committee. The town is dominated by planting, which is rich in Ramie and Toona sinensis

Basic information

According to the township administrative plan of Dazhu County in 2019, Shihe Town, shuanggong Town, Erlang town and pubao town of Li hometown are merged into Shihe town. The town government is stationed in Zhengtong street, Shihe town.

The whole village has 11777 mu of cultivated land, including 6452 mu of farmland and 5325 mu of soil. 49 villager groups with a total population of 9556 (2017). It is a typical hilly landform. There are 29 shanpingtang, 1 small (2) reservoir, 1 fixed irrigation station, 6 micro water projects and 3.2km main canal in the town. Convenient transportation, in Dazhu half an hour economic circle. It is only 5 kilometers away from Shihe exit of Da Yu expressway, and provincial highway 218 runs across it.

Products and specialties

Shuanggong town is a big agricultural town. Ramie is the most important economic crop. It is one of the main ramie base townships in Dazhu County. The existing ramie area is 6207 mu, and there are more than 800000 Toona trees planted. At present, the purchase and sale of Toona sprouts in Shihe area are concentrated in shuanggong Town, which has formed a large-scale market and driven the production of Toona sprouts in the whole county.

Historical allusions

Jiangshuiqiao "word bank". After the completion of the Jiangshui bridge in the 12th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, the library was built in recognition of the donors.
