Longtan town

With the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Qianfeng District of Guang'an City abolished Longtan Township and established Longtan town. The former administrative region of Longtan Township is the administrative region of Longtan Town, and the town people's government is stationed at No. 99 Longxin street.

On December 10, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Guang'an City (cfzm [2019] No. 16): the administrative areas of Wuxing village, Fengyan village, neicao village and Gaoling village in Guanghui Township were put under the jurisdiction of Longtan Town, and the people's Government of Longtan town was stationed at No. 99, Longxin street.

Longtan town is located in the East Bank of Qujiang River, middle section of Huaying Mountain, Qianfeng District of Guang'an City, 10 km away from Guang'an railway station. The terrain is high in the East and low in the west, with crisscross mountains and flat dams. Covering an area of 36.48 square kilometers, it governs 11 villages (Huanglian and Baodong are in mountainous areas), with a total population of 5960 (2017).

There are 5660 agricultural workers, with an annual average of more than 2000 migrant workers and an income of more than 9 million yuan.

Longtan town has very convenient transportation. The provincial road qubei (county) road and Xiangyu railway pass through the township. There is a fourth-class railway station Guange railway station, which has convenient communication. The program-controlled telephone has been opened, and the mobile phone signal is strong. There are water source power station and Longtan Power Station, with sufficient power supply and perfect water conservancy facilities, which can meet the needs of industrial and agricultural production and life.

The town is rich in resources. According to exploration, the coal reserves reach 40 million tons, and the limestone and iron ore reserves reach 10 million tons. Rich in groundwater and surface water, the average annual reserves of groundwater is 45 million m3, and the water quality is excellent. The source mineral water contains a variety of beneficial minerals, which can be developed into drinking mineral water. Longtan River is more than 20 kilometers in the rural area and flows through 10 villages in the township. The climate has four distinct seasons, warm winter, early spring, long summer, short autumn, high mountains and much fog, which is especially suitable for fruit forest and tea planting.

Economic situation

Longtan Township vigorously develops private economy. Lease water head power station to private for 30 years. Doutizi coal mine, jiaoan coal mine and Guang'an Songzhen tea factory were auctioned to private investors, attracting tens of millions of yuan.

Guang'an pine needle series tea is full of characteristics and fame. Its product Guang'an pine bud has won the gold award of the Ministry of agriculture. This series of tea is in short supply and sold well at home and abroad. Chengdu Longquanyi people engaged in owner's development of more than 500 mu of land in Longtan, and the "golden five star" high-quality loquat planted by them was listed on the market on the occasion of the centenary. The forest land in the town is rich in animal and plant species, which is suitable for the development of wild vegetables and wild animals.
