Peishi town

Peishi town is under the jurisdiction of Nanxi District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. In 2016, Peishi township was abolished and transformed into Peishi town. It is located in the east of Nanxi City, 6.3km away from the city, adjacent to the Yangtze River in the south, facing the Jiangnan mountains, Shuiqing town of Jiang'an County in the East, and Liubin Township in the north. The provincial highway, Yilu highway and the Yangtze River run through the territory. Covering an area of 32.63 square kilometers, it governs 11 administrative villages, 2 rural communities and 1 Street community, with a total population of 14765 (2017).

On August 24, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Yibin City: Liubin township was cancelled and its administrative region was put under the jurisdiction of Peishi Town, which was stationed at 151 Jiaotong road.

Evolution of organizational system

On June 26, 2013, the ninth meeting of the Standing Committee of the first people's Congress of Nanxi District of Yibin city passed the "proposal on Abolishing Peishi Township and establishing Peishi town", which was submitted by the people's Government of Nanxi district for approval.

In December 2015, with the approval of the people's Government of Sichuan Province, Nanxi District of Yibin City abolished Peishi Township and established Peishi Town, with the former administrative region of Peishi township as the administrative region of Peishi town.

On March 14, 2016, Peishi town held a listing ceremony to withdraw the township and build a town. Peishi township was officially renamed as Peishi town.
