Liangjiang town

Liangjiang Town, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's Government in April 2017, Cuiping District of Yibin City abolished Liangjiang Township and established Liangjiang Town, with the former administrative region of Liangjiang township as the administrative region of Liangjiang town. Liangjiang town will be managed by Yibin Lingang development zone from January 1, 2018.

It was Shuanghe Township before 1949, changed to commune in 1961, changed its name to Liangjiang commune in 1980, and set up Liangjiang Township in 1984. Located in the northeast of the District, 15 kilometers away from the urban area. It covers an area of 43.92 square kilometers and has a population of 13327 (2017). There is a road to Yibin. It has jurisdiction over eight village committees: Jiuli, Jinsheng, Jinli, Luoshan, Chongde, Gaomiao, Xinguang and Sanyu. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, economic crops such as jute, rape and fruit. There are pigs, cattle, freshwater fish and poultry.

Liangjiang Town, located in the northeast corner of Cuiping District, Yibin City, is about 18 kilometers away from the urban area of Yibin City. It is adjacent to Baisha Industrial Park. There are three main roads, namely liangsha, Liangxiang and Lianggao, connecting with shaping, Xiangbi and Gaodian.

On August 26, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some administrative districts in Yibin City, abolishing Gaodian town and Liangjiang Town, and establishing Shuangcheng sub district office. The former administrative area of Gaodian town and Liangjiang town is the administrative area of Shuangcheng sub district. Shuangcheng sub district office is located at No. 19 Minxin street.

In 2012, it was successfully established as a municipal health town.
