According to Li Shiqiang, the director of shuishuiguan town cultural station, the existing Yong'an temple building complex is a combination of the yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China. Its architectural style is very typical, which is a rare physical example to study the Yuan Dynasty architecture in Sichuan. In addition to the diversified architectural style, the architectural characteristics of Yong'an temple are also reflected in the architectural technology, such as the exquisite details of the Buddha Hall, columns, window lattice, etc., with distinctive characteristics, which has important cultural relics and artistic value. According to the research, Yongan temple has excellent architecture, painting, clay carving, wood carving, stone carving and alginate decoration, which is better than Yongle Palace in Shaanxi Province and Feilai hall in Emei. The temple has been listed as the key cultural relics protection unit of Sichuan Provincial People's Government twice. On June 25, 2001, it was announced as the national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
