Gangcheng street is one of the new urban areas of Guigang City,

The port city is an old revolutionary base. From the winter of 1930 to 1931, the Guangxi special committee of the Communist Party of China and the county Party committee of Guixian worked in Tianzhu building of the eighth village of Guixian county (now 68 village of Gangcheng Street), directly guiding the revolutionary movement of the peasants in Guixian county and Guangxi, and appointed Mengda as the traffic officer of the Guangxi special committee. The Guangxi special commission has been here for 10 months. On April 5 and June 18, 1931, Guangxi special committee held two enlarged meetings here. Later, because Xu Bihua and Huang Depu were arrested and defected, the Guangxi special committee of the Communist Party of China and the Guixian county Party committee were destroyed in August 1931, resulting in the disintegration of the party, the League organizations and the peasant workers' Association in the attached urban and rural areas (today's streets of Gangcheng). The surviving party members lost contact with the higher Party organizations, and the organs of the Guangxi special committee were evacuated from Liuba village.

On December 25, 2017, the people of Hong Kong City ushered in an encouraging new historical starting point. The city's Street office was officially established after the town was removed, and the pace of development was further accelerated.

The main part of the urban area is composed of Guicheng Street and the old urban area. It is close to the urban area of Guigang City in Guangxi, with Lianhua mountains in the north, the largest inland port (Maoer port) in Guangxi in the East, lizhan railway in the South and Nanwu highway in the south. The North Ring Road of the urban area under construction runs through the port town, and the terrain faces the urban area in a fan shape. It has the location advantage of "along the river, along the road, around the city and near the port". There are 4 communities, 10 administrative villages and 324 villager groups in the street area, with a total area of 136.52 square kilometers, 48809 mu of cultivated land, 30900 mu of mountain forest and 1530 mu of water surface. The total population is 76330 (in 2017), of which the Zhuang population accounts for 65%.

The main agricultural products in Gangcheng Street are rice, sugarcane, vegetables, litchi and longan. The town has formed a continuous development of high-quality grain production base and pollution-free vegetable production base. High quality limestone, mineral water and other mineral resources are rich, the town has a forest area of more than 30000 mu. As an old revolutionary base, Hong Kong City is rich in tourism resources. Shiniu reservoir and pingtian reservoir are the best places for leisure and vacation nearest to hori district.

The Party committee and government of Gangcheng sub district have made great efforts to broaden the investment environment and strengthen the work of attracting investment projects. Businessmen from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Guangdong, Fujian and other places have come to invest and set up factories. Cement, chemical fertilizer, plant spices, food processing, wood products, clothing, chemical industry, plastics and other industries have been formed in the town, and the national economy has a good momentum of rapid and healthy development. In 2003, the total industrial output value of the town was 406.437 million yuan, the total output value of the tertiary industry was 109.988 million yuan, the total agricultural output value was 17.348 million yuan, the fiscal and tax input reached 22367103 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3435 yuan. In 2001, the town was criticized as civilized town of Guigang City, and in 2002, it was rated as civilized town of Guangxi.
