Peilong town

Located at the junction of Neijiang City, Meishan City and Ziyang City, and in the northwest of Zizhong County, Peilong town is 55km away from Zizhong County (Shuinan town), covering an area of 40.71 square kilometers, with a total population of 21368 (2017), and manages 1 community and 11 administrative villages. Peilongxiang commune (the predecessor of peilongzhen government) was originally located in baohuachang. Because of its low-lying terrain and frequent floods, it moved to the goose stall in the year of Jiyou. Because of the ancient literacy habits from top to bottom and from right to left, the word "Ji" and the word "you" are called "Pei". In order to avoid floods, the name of peilongzhen is "long".

In December 2019, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Peilong town was cancelled, and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Falun town. The people's Government of Falun town was stationed at No. 30, central street.

In 1942, Peilong township was established. After merger, Peilong people's commune was established in 1958. In 1984, Peilong township was restored. In 1992, Peilong Township and Zaoshu Township were merged into Peilong town.
