Shunhechang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Zizhong County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwest of Zizhong County, opposite to shunhechang station of the town people's government. It is 42 km away from Zizhong County and only 5 km away from G76 exit. Shunhechang was built in the Qing Dynasty. After several mergers, shunhechang town and Yangming Township were merged into the new shunhechang town in 1992. Area: 37.23 square kilometers, altitude: 379 meters. The population is more than 21000, including 1250 urban residents. Jurisdiction 1 neighborhood committee, 18 villages. The lowest altitude is 321.5 meters and the highest is 484 meters. Tuojiang River passes through, Chengdu Chongqing railway passes through the town, and every village is connected with highway.

In December 2019, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, shunhechang town was cancelled, and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Qiuxi town. The people's Government of Qiuxi town was stationed at 41 Ao lane, Tanshi city.

Economics

In shunhechang Town, there are warehouses of the provincial cotton and hemp company, container depots No.2, No.3 and No.7, four reservoirs, two natural gas mines, two religious sites, Dashan temple and Qingyun temple, which attract many tourists. It mainly produces wheat, corn, rice, peanut, rapeseed, sweet potato, sugarcane, leguminous crops, peach, plum, pear, citrus and other fruits. The high-quality Ponkan and Taroko blood orange are well-known both inside and outside the province, among which Taroko blood orange won the gold medal of the National Agricultural Exposition in 1995. Pigs are the main livestock and poultry. In 1998, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town reached 166 million yuan, the total grain output reached more than 10000 tons, and the total output value of township enterprises reached 80 million yuan.
