Masi Miao Township
Masi Miao township is located in the south of Gulin, a dry area of Chishui River, a corner of Wumeng Mountain, 39 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 77.93 square kilometers. The township government, the Township People's Congress and the township party committee are stationed on the central street of the township.
Basic information
The township governs 5 administrative villages and 38 Village (resident) groups with a total population of 8044 (2017). The countryside is high in the north and low in the south, with an altitude of 680-1423 meters. The climate changes significantly in four seasons, with large temperature difference and sufficient light. In 2014, there were 1063 hectares of cultivated land and 3534 hectares of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 45.3%. It is a typical agricultural township.
Agriculture
Corn, rice, potato and wheat are the main food crops, while tea, flue-cured tobacco, walnut and millet are the economic crops.
