Evolution of organizational system

Zhendong township was set up in 1948 and divided into Zhendong, Denggao and Shuangjing townships in 1952. In 1956, the three townships were merged into Zhendong Township, Taiyang commune was changed in 1958, Zhengdong commune was renamed in 1964, Zhendong commune was changed in 1980, the township was restored in 1984, and Xihu Township and puzhan Township were merged in 1992. In 1997, it covers an area of 123.4 square kilometers and has a population of 26000.
