Dongchang town is subordinate to Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and belongs to the dam area in the southeast of Dayi County, covering an area of 31.13 square kilometers. It has four administrative villages (71 villager groups), five agriculture related communities (91 resident groups), and one street committee. The total population of the town is 29146 (2017), and the cultivated land area is 29287 mu.
