Gongxing Street

Gongxing street is a historical institution in Shuangliu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is adjacent to Huayang city circle in Tianfu New District, and is located in the center of Muma mountain. It is said that it was once a camp for horse herding and military training of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period.

On January 21, 2012, Gongxing town was abolished and Gongxing street was established. Gongxing Street covers an area of 41.93 square kilometers and has a permanent resident population of 23000. It has jurisdiction over seven communities including Changzhen, Shuangtang, zhujiamiao, Outang, shaojiadian, Caoping, Lanjiagou and one village of Qingyun temple.

On December 25, 2019, according to the reply of Document No. 127 of CFH [2019], Xiehe street and Gongxing street were cancelled and Shuangliu Yixin street was established.

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Historical evolution

It is said that Gongxing was originally a camp for horse herding and military training in the Three Kingdoms period. Tan can kiln was first built in Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty. It has three large kilns and was originally located in Sangen songyangmapo, Shuangtang town. It mainly produces jars of various specifications with good quality. For this reason, the reputation of "Tan can kiln" spread, but it did not form a street at that time.

At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, "Huguang filled Sichuan", a Yin family moved here, settled down beside Yaopo, and occupied this area for themselves. Because of the way here, the Yin family began to do small business on the roadside. Later, the Yin family felt that the slope of the kiln was so wide, and it had been abandoned all the time. It was better to take out the land and let more people with different surnames come to build houses and open shops, and make more noise together. In this way, a few years later, small streets were formed, and people nearby began to come here to go to the market. At this time, people still called it Tan Tan kiln.

Later, Xiaochang was destroyed by a flood. As a last resort, the owners had to choose another address to rebuild the new venue. The new site is not unique to the Yin family, and has a certain distance from Yaopo. After discussion by people of different surnames, the name of the new site is "Gongxing", which means "public construction, public prosperity".

On March 27, 1965, the 154th meeting of the State Council decided to abolish the establishment of Huayang county and merge it into Shuangliu County. On April 8, the people's Committee of Sichuan Province issued a notice of withdrawing and merging counties. On July 1, Huayang county was formally merged into Shuangliu County, with 18 communes (including Gongxing) and 3 towns under its jurisdiction merged into Shuangliu County.

On February 24, 2012, according to the reply of the provincial government, Chengdu municipal government agreed to cancel the original Gongxing town of Shuangliu district and set up Gongxing sub district office, which is located at No. 41, Government Street, gongxingchang community.

On December 25, 2019, the reply of Chengdu Municipal People's Government on approving Shuangliu district to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns (streets) (CFH [2019] No. 127), canceling Xiehe street and Gongxing street and establishing Yixin street. The former Xiehe street and the former Gongxing street gongxingchang community, Caoping community east of the second section of Huanglong Avenue, south of Muhua road and east of Muyu street, Caoping community and zhujiamiao community south of Muyu Second Road, zhujiamiao community east of freight Avenue and zhujiamiao community north of Shuangxing Avenue The administrative area to the east of the center line of the fourth section of Huafu Avenue in Shuangtang community and the east of the center line of the fourth section of Huafu Avenue in Shuangtang community and Lanjiagou community is under the jurisdiction of Yixin street. Yixin Street office is located at 41 Government Street. In the former Gongxing street, shaojiadian community, Qingyunsi village, Caoping community, west of the second section of Huanglong Avenue, north of Muhua Road, west of Muyu street, north of Caoping community and zhujiamiao community, north of Muyu Second Road, west of zhujiamiao community freight Avenue, south of zhujiamiao community, Caoping community, Outang community, Shuangtang community and Shuangxing Avenue, The administrative area to the west of the center line of the fourth section of Huafu Avenue in Shuangtang community and the west of the center line of the fourth section of Huafu Avenue in Shuangtang community and Lanjiagou community is under the jurisdiction of Huangjia street.

Gongxing street is located at 103 ° 59 ˊ E and 30 ° 29 ˊ n, belonging to subtropical humid monsoon climate zone. The climate throughout the year is mild, with four distinct seasons, early spring, hot summer, cool autumn and warm winter, without severe frost, abundant rainfall and sufficient sunshine.

Rich in land resources, covering an area of 41.8 square kilometers. It is near Fuhe River and has good water conservancy conditions.

Gongxing street is one of the important economic towns in Shuangliu District, and it is also the town with the best infrastructure of Shuangliu and even neishui electric road in Sichuan Province. It has become the most dynamic area with the greatest potential for land value-added in Shuangliu hill district.
