Damian Street

Damian street is located in the southeast of the Third Ring Road in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It belongs to the downtown area of Chengdu, Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone and Chengdu area of Tianfu new area. It is the "national cultural and creative industry demonstration Street" in Tianfu new area, the core street for Longquanyi District to implement the "East" and "medium quality" strategy, and the TOD "Station City integration" construction is the first demonstration street. Historical evolution

The government of Damian street was originally stationed in damianpu. Damianpu got its name from its location in damianshan. Xue Tian of Song Dynasty said in Chengdu Shushi Baiyun: "the shape of damianpan is pressing dry", which refers to this mountain. Damianpu was founded in the early Qing Dynasty. The exact age is unknown. The Guandi temple in damianchang was built in Yihai in the 33rd year of Kangxi. It is inferred that damianpu was built in the early Qing Dynasty.

At the beginning of the Republic of China, Huayang county had jurisdiction over 9 districts, 6 towns, 3 townships and 38 farms. The eighth district was located in xihechang, which had jurisdiction over Xihe town and damianpu.

In the 24th year of the Republic of China, Huayang county was divided into four districts, 27 townships, and Damian was the first district.

In the 26th year of the Republic of China, Damian township was renamed Damian Lianbao.

In the 30 years of the Republic of China, the joint insurance system of Damian was changed to Damian Township, which has jurisdiction over 29 insurances.

In the 31 years of the Republic of China, Huayang County adjusted 4 districts to 6 guidance districts, and most of them belonged to the third district.

In 1950, Huayang county was under the jurisdiction of eight districts, and Damian was the third district. In the same year, the old systems of Township, social security and family a were abolished, and a rural farmers' Association was established, under which a branch and a group of farmers' associations were set up, with 15 branches under the jurisdiction of Damian township.

In April 1952, Honghe township was established in Damian township. Damian Township governs 8 villages and damianpu, and Honghe Township governs 13 villages.

In 1953, Huayang County implemented the separation of towns and townships. Damianpu was changed into Damian Town, which governs five large groups of residents and coexists with Damian township.

In August 1954, Huayang County adjusted its division and abolished the eighth district. The original eighth District, Xihe, Qinglong and other townships, and Damian Town, Damian and Honghe were changed into the third district, with the District Office in damianpu.

In 1956, the third district was abolished and the township was directly managed by the county.

In October 1958, Damian people's commune was established. Damian commune has jurisdiction over 12 districts and Honghe commune has jurisdiction over 7 districts. At the same time, Damian town was abolished and merged into Damian commune.

On October 31, 1959, Damian and Honghe communes were put under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City from Huayang County, and their commune establishment remained unchanged.

On July 18, 1960, Longquanyi District was officially established. Damian and Honghe townships were under the jurisdiction of Longquanyi District.

In August 1977, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial Revolutionary Committee, Damian town was established.

At the beginning of January 1984, according to the constitution, the rural people's commune was changed into the township system, and the Damian commune was changed into Damian township.

In June 1985, with the approval of Chengdu Municipal People's government, Damian township was abolished and merged into Damian town. Meanwhile, Wuxing village of Honghe township was assigned to Damian town.

On September 8, 2004, Honghe town was merged into Damian Town, Damian town was abolished and Damian sub district office was established.
