Hongchun Township

Hongchun Township, subordinate to Wushan County, Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Wushan County, adjacent to Guandu town in the East, Jianshi County in Hubei Province in the south, Fengjie County in the west, temple town and Tonggu town in the north, 63 kilometers away from the residence of Wushan County Government, with a total area of 110 square kilometers.

Before 1949, Hongchun township was a temple town. In April 1984, Hongchun commune was changed into Hongchun township. By the end of 2018, the population of Toho Township registered residence was 6661. As of June 2020, Hongchun village has five administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is stationed in group 3, BF village.

In Hongchun Township, corn, potato and sweet potato are the main food crops; pig, sheep, poultry and cattle are the main animal husbandry; mining and manufacturing are the main industries. In 2018, Hongchun township has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Hongchun township is named after the Township People's government's residence in chunshubao.

Before 1949, it belonged to temple town.

In April 1953, part of Miaoyu town was designated as Tianbu township; in October of the same year, Hongchun township was separated from Tianbu Township, belonging to the third district.

On October 1, 1958, Hongchun, Changliang, Miaoyu and Daping were merged to form Temple commune.

In April 1961, three teams, Qili, Dahong and Xinmin, were separated from the temple commune to establish Hongchun commune, which is subordinate to Damiao district.

In April 1984, Hongchun commune was changed into Hongchun township.

In October 1992, the administrative region of Daping township was assigned to Hongchun township.
