Shizhi Town, subordinate to Fengdu County of Chongqing, is located in the east of Fengdu County, bordering Renjia town of Zhongxian County in the East, the Yangtze River in the south, Shuren town in the west, Baohe Town, Shuanglong town and Qinglong Township in the north. It is 38 kilometers away from Fengdu county government, with a total area of 119.87 square kilometers.
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), the territory was Shizi town; in August 1992, Shizhi town was merged from Shizhi Town, Kaifeng town and Longtou town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in ten towns was 37522. As of June 2020, Shizhi town has 1 community and 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Shizhi town is located at No. 46, Baoquan Road, group 1, liangjiawan community.
Shizhi town's food crops are mainly rice, corn and wheat, and animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, beef cattle, sheep and poultry. History of construction
Shizhi town is named after a cross road in its territory.
In 1930, Shizi town was built. In 1934, Shizi town was changed into Shizhi town. In 1940, Shizhi town was transformed into Shizhi township.
In January 1953, Longtou township was established from Shizhi township.
In September 1958, Shizhi township was changed into Shizhi commune.
In January 1984, Shizhi commune was changed into Shizhi township.
In August 1992, Shizhi Township, Kaifeng Township and Longtou Township were merged into Shizhi town.
