Xumingsi Town, subordinate to Fengdu County of Chongqing, is located in the north of Fengdu County. It is connected with Dongjia town in the East, Sanyuan town in the south, Peixing town in the West and Shuanggui town in the north. It is 86km away from Fengdu county government, with a total area of 54.54km2.

In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), xumingsi town was under the jurisdiction of Sanyuan District; in August 1992, liming Township and peiguan Township were merged into xumingsi town.
