Covering an area of 1.48 square kilometers, the street governs 6 communities, 87 resident groups, with a total population of 31318 (in 2010), 10 grassroots party organizations and 317 party members. In 2011, it was named Wenming street in Chongqing. The street is closely around the development strategy of "revitalizing industry, prospering City, strengthening tourism, promoting agriculture and improving people's livelihood" proposed by Wansheng Economic Development Zone, firmly establishing the concept of "grasping development is grasping stability, grasping development is grasping people's livelihood", vigorously implementing "safety demonstration project, urban livable project and people's livelihood guarantee project" with prospering city as the general principle and improving people's livelihood as the goal Donglin will become an external window of Wansheng economic development zone.
