Shangqingsi Street

Shangqingsi street, belonging to Yuzhong District of Chongqing, is located in the north of the central part of Yuzhong District, connecting Daxigou street in the East, LiangLuKou street in the south, Hualongqiao street and Daping street in the west, Jialing River in the north, 2.4km away from Yuzhong District government, 1.6km from the east to the West, 1.8km from the south to the north, with an area of 1.73km2.

In the 16th year of King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty (1027 BC), shangqingsi Street belonged to Jiangzhou County; in July 1962, it was changed from shangqingsi commune to shangqingsi street. At the end of 2011, the total population of shangqingsi street was 54200. As of June 2020, shangqingsi street has seven communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at 188 Zhongshan third road.

History of construction

In the 16th year of King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty (1027 BC), it belonged to Jiangzhou county.

In 487, it belonged to Dianjiang County.

In 561, the first year of Baoding in the Northern Dynasty and the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Dianjiang County was abolished and Baxian county was established.

In 1929, Chongqing was established as a city. In 1935, it was the third district of Chongqing. In 1939, it was the seventh district of Chongqing.

In June 1950, it belongs to the first district of Chongqing.

In 1954, shangqingsi street was set up.

On November 23, 1955, the first district was renamed Shizhong District.

In March 1960, shangqingsi street was changed into shangqingsi commune.
