Da'an Town

Da'an Town is located in the middle and north of Baisha County, Hainan Province. It is connected with Yacha town in the East and Southeast, Fulong Township in the northeast, Danzhou City in the north and Qifang town in the West. It is adjacent to Longjiang state farm, Da'an hot farm in the county and Heshui sugar factory in the county. The town governs 8 administrative villages, 58 villager groups, 1 community and 1 economic field (town run enterprise). By the end of 2017, there were 15188 permanent residents. In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers reached 4817 yuan.

There are local tax office, substation, power supply office, post office, finance office, primary and secondary schools, police station, forestry station, Da'an health center, Shiqiu health center, etc. Bang (XI) Nan (Xun) highway transit.

It mainly produces rice, sugarcane, rubber, cassava, corn and sweet potato. There are aloes, Hainan maple, Alpinia oxyphylla, Amomum villosum and so on.

Language and religion

The main dialects in the territory are Li dialect, Danzhou dialect and Hainan dialect. Shiqiu films all speak Danzhou dialect with Changling village, the rest speak Li dialect, and a few speak Cantonese and Hakka. Most people believe in Taoism.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1947, the people's political power of Da'an township was established. In 1955, the third district of Baisha County was renamed Da'an district. In December of the same year, Da'an district had jurisdiction over Shiqiu, Shiguang, Naguang, Fuqing, Longtou and yabing townships. In March 1958, the district was withdrawn and merged with the township. Da'an district was soon restored. In October of the same year, it was incorporated into Weixing people's commune. In November, Weixing commune and Heping commune were merged to form Qifang commune and Da'an was subordinate to it. In 1959, Da'an commune was established. In autumn of 1983, it was renamed Da'an commune An District Office, under the jurisdiction of Da'an, Kecheng, Heshui, NANDA four townships; Township in 1987. In 1997, it covers an area of 118 square kilometers and has a population of 6000. It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely Da'an, Kecheng, Heshui and NANDA. In September 2002, the former Da'an Township and Shiqiu Township merged to form Da'an Town.

Shiqiu township is located in the northwest of Baisha County, upstream of zhubijiang River, 30 kilometers away from the county. Shiqiu township was set up in 1935, which belonged to the third district of Baisha County, and later to the commune; Shiqiu township was set up in 1951, which belonged to the third district of Baisha County, Hainan Li and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and it was changed to the fourth district (Changling District) in March 1954. It was subordinate to Da'an District in June 1955, Futuo District in 1983 and Shiqiu Township in late 1986. In 1997, it covers an area of 57.5 square kilometers and has a population of 5000. It has jurisdiction over three village committees, namely Ziya, Futuo and Tianbiao. There are zhubijiang farm and satellite farm in the territory.

Before 1978, Shiqiu township was subordinate to Guangya commune. Futuo commune was established in 1978, and it was renamed Shiqiu Township in 1987.

Climate and geomorphology

It is a tropical monsoon climate with high temperature and rainy weather. The annual sunshine is 2056 hours, the average annual temperature is 21.9-23.4 ℃, and the average annual rainfall is 1725 mm. The terrain in the territory is mainly hilly, with jiujialing and nanjiuling mountains in the East and south. Zhubi river is the second largest river in the county. The suitable farmland is 9042 mu.

Natural resources

There are a lot of quartzite, marble, etc. Distribution: marble is mainly distributed in Kecheng and NANDA villages, quartz is mainly distributed in Ziya village.

Agriculture

The town has 8214 mu of cultivated land, including 5534 mu of paddy field, 951 mu of dry land and 1729 mu of dry land. The main economic crops are rubber, sugarcane, rice, cassava, etc. Among them, the rubber area has reached 53217 mu, the harvest area is 20464 mu, and the total output is 2028 tons. It is one of the most rubber towns in Baisha County. Rubber plays an important role in GNP. There are 5386 Mu paddy fields, 1080 Mu dry fields and 2621 Mu sloping fields.

Forestry

There are xiaoyean, hemp needle, bamboo, betel nut and other crops in the territory. The forest area is 64889 mu, the state-owned forest land is 35000 mu, the collective forest land is 74836 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 68%,

There are pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, rabbits and other livestock and poultry in the town.

Fisheries

It is rich in fishery resources, with a fish pond (reservoir) area of 1600 mu. There are tilapia, carp, grass carp, fat headed fish and so on.
