Haitangwan town

Haitangwan town is located in the east of Sanya City, Hainan Province. It is the east gate of Sanya City, bordering Yingzhou town of Lingshui Li and Miao Autonomous County in the East, Nanhai town in the south, Tiandu town and Yalongwan Tourism Development Zone in the west, Nantian farm and Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County in the north, 30 km away from Sanya City. Haitangwan town is dominated by tengqiaoxu, with a total area of 384.20 square kilometers (including Nantian farm) and a town area of 100.9 hectares. The total population of the town was 89097 (2017).

Haiyan commune was established in 1958, changed its name to Tengqiao commune in 1959, and built Tengqiao town in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 46 square kilometers and a population of 14000, it has jurisdiction over eight village committees, namely, Tengqiao, Longlou, Shengchang, Yingtou, Haifeng, Yelin, Longhai and Dongxi. In August 2001, Tengqiao town and Linwang town merged to establish Haitangwan Town, and the town government was stationed in Tengqiao.

Attachment: Linwang town is located in the east of Sanya City. National Highway 223 runs through the town. Originally under the jurisdiction of Tengqiao, Haiyan commune was changed in 1958, Linwang commune was renamed in 1961, Linwang township was established in 1983, and the town was established in 1986. In 1997, it covers an area of 109.3 square kilometers and has a population of 18000. It is mainly Han nationality, with Li nationality accounting for 37.4%. It has jurisdiction over a neighborhood committee in Linwang and 11 village committees in Fengtang, Hongli, Beishan, Longjiang, Zhuangda, Cunxin, Sanzao, Xiaxia, Wanbo, tielu and Qingtian.

The sea transportation can reach Sanya port and ports inside and outside the province. The national highway and expressway of Yudong line run through Haitangwan town from east to west. Haitang Bay is close to the mountains and the sea, with beautiful scenery, blue sea, white sand beach, shady coconut forest, 22.4 kilometers of beautiful coastline, Nantian hot spring with "the first spring in China", Wuzhizhou Island, Coconut Island, Islamic ancient tombs, Teng bay with sunrise in the new millennium and other tourist attractions.

Haitang Bay has a unique terrain, with low altitude hills, small plains, rivers and many harbors, abundant sunshine, abundant rainfall, mild climate, fertile land, warm in winter and cool in summer. It is the first choice for tropical high-efficiency agriculture, winter melons and vegetables, tropical fruits, aquaculture and southern breeding. It is also the first choice for Sanya Kent Industrial Co., Ltd. of Beijing urban development group, science and technology demonstration park of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences Longsheng company and Dashan company have settled down in Haitang Bay and become the leading geese in the investment and development of Haitang Bay.

Economic situation

In 2004, the total social output value of the town was 421 million yuan, including 355 million yuan for the primary industry, 24 million yuan for the secondary industry and 42 million yuan for the tertiary industry. The financial revenue of the whole town is 17.05 million yuan, and the per capita income is 3671 yuan. The leading industries of Haitangwan town are hot fruits, winter vegetables and mariculture. The main products are mango, longan, coconut, betel nut, long bean, watermelon, shrimp, abalone, grouper, etc.

Social construction

By the end of 2004, the residential area of the whole town was 718600 square meters, the per capita residential area was 18.3 square meters, the public building area was 7.4 square meters, and the productive building area was 0.98 square meters. The town has 83.8 kilometers of roads, 160 street lamps and a water plant with a daily output of 100000 tons. In 2004, the town's green coverage area was 4077 hectares, the town's green area was 9.6 hectares, the public green area was 6.8 hectares, the per capita public green area was 9.5 square meters, the street greening popularization rate was 100%, and the street green belt accounted for 32% of the total road area.
