Haidian Street
Haidian Street, subordinate to Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, is located in the north of Meilan District, adjacent to Xinbu street in the East, Boai street and Baisha street in the south, Renmin Road Street in the west, and Qiongzhou Strait in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 2.56 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 3.75 km, with a total area of 9.6 square kilometers. Among them, the land area is 8.25 square kilometers, accounting for 85.94%; the water area is 1.35 square kilometers, accounting for 14.06%.
In 1984, Baisha Township People's government was established. In 1989, Haidian Street was established, subordinate to Zhendong district. On October 16, 2002, Zhendong district was abolished and Meilan District was established. Haidian Street was under the jurisdiction of Meilan District. In 2018, the total population of Haidian Street was 67492, including 56276 permanent residents and 11216 floating population. As of June 2020, Haidian Street has jurisdiction over six communities, and its sub district office is located in Ji'an garden, 200 Bihai Avenue, Haidian.
At the end of 2011, the total revenue of Haidian Street was 320 million yuan, an increase of 28.6% over the previous year; the business tax was 100 million yuan, and the value-added tax was 33 million yuan, an increase of 14.6% and 4.7% respectively over the previous year.
