Hehe town of Heshan City is located in the southeast of Heshan City, adjacent to liangtang Township, Qiaogong town and Qianjiang town of Xingbin District in the East, South and West, and Lingnan town and Beisi town of Heshan City in the north.

River does not mean "contained in the river" in the Chinese vocabulary, but the Zhuang language "street of rice shoveling", "River" is the transliteration of "street", and "Li" is "Houli", a traditional handicraft of Zhuang Nationality in northern Guangxi, which is used for shoveling rice. The old people led by Zhuang culture thought called it "hehouli", that is, "bazaar selling rice shovels", which shows that hehe used to be a town with developed traditional handicrafts.

The river is rich in tourism resources, including the picturesque Siji reservoir, and rich in folk customs and culture. The river folk songs travel all over the country.

Evolution of organizational system

Hehe town originally belonged to Beisi commune. Hehe township was built in 1984. In December 2014, the autonomous region approved the removal of Hehe Township into a town. On March 12, 2015, hehe town was officially established.

Hehe town governs 10 administrative villages and 46 natural villages in hehe, Changmo, Huanshan, HUAIJI, Ganlin, yangzhang, Renyi, Ma'an, Wutang and Luoman.

geographical environment

Hehe town is located in the transition zone between karst peak forest mountain area in Western Guangxi and quasi plain area in Central Guangxi. It belongs to hilly and Gufeng plain landform. The terrain inclines from northeast to southwest, and the general elevation is 110-150m.

Hehe town has a superior geographical location, with Laihe railway, Nanliu second-class highway, Wuzhou Pingguo Expressway Heshan connecting line and Hongshui River passing through the territory, and all villages are connected with fourth-class highway. Heshan port is located in Wutang village, hehe township. Now HUAIJI reservoir is planned to travel along the Hongshui River to the new village of Mo Yao immigrants in ma'angong as a tourist belt. At the same time, there is a former site of Li Zongren Anti Japanese headquarters.

The total area of cultivated land in hehe town is 37337 mu, including 14697 mu of paddy field and 22640 mu of dry land. The forest area is 2625.5 hectares. Agricultural production is mainly sugarcane, rice, corn and so on. The main mineral resources are coal, limestone, argillaceous siliceous rock and sandstone, followed by clay, river sand, calcite, marble and rare stone.

Economic overview

In 2014, hehe town completed three major industries with a total output value of 122.98 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%, and social fixed asset investment of 205.05 million yuan. The total financial revenue was 17.85 million yuan, up 13% year on year; the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 40.5 million yuan, up 8.5% year on year; the per capita net income of farmers was 6250 yuan, up 12% year on year.

Hehe town's culture and education, health, radio and television, communications and other undertakings have developed rapidly. In 2011, there was one central primary school and nine primary school teaching sites in the township.
