Silian town

Silian town is a national key town, located in the east of Xincheng County, bordering Anton Township in the East, Heshan City in the south, Guosui Township in the southwest, Chengguan town in the West and Datang town in the north. It has convenient transportation, mild climate, sufficient power, perfect communication and beautiful scenery. In 2008, the town's GDP reached 589.554 million yuan.

The town now governs Silian community, Hongyuan community and 15 administrative villages (lianjiang, Xinlian, Qiaotou, Jiahao, Meiling, Jiedong, Changshang, Maodong, Nanmen, Sudeng, Ronggong, Shilong, Longdong, Lipan, Guyin, 15 village committees). history

Silian, built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty (1573-1620), is named "Silian" because it is located at the confluence of Sijin River and Lianjiang River. In the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, there were Silian, Guping, Maodong, tuntang and Yao people's caves. Before 21 years of the Republic of China, it was the fourth militia area. At that time, there were three townships, Buyou, Bazhi and Shilong, all under the jurisdiction of Silian district. The district office was stationed in Silian xiajie. In the 24th year of the Republic of China, Silian district was abolished, and each township was directly under the county government. Later, Buyou township was renamed Silian Township and Bazhi township was abolished. During the liberation, the two systems of Silian and Shilong were followed. It was established as the first district in February 1950 and renamed the third district in April 1950. The District People's government was stationed in Silian street. Four people's communes, Silian, Anton, Maodong and Shilong, were established in 1958. They were merged into Silian District in 1962 and changed into Silian people's commune in 1968. In 1984, Silian town was set up in Andong Township, covering an area of 337.58 square kilometers, which is the largest town in the county. The town is adjacent to Antong administrative village of Antong Township in the East, Maodong village of Ningjiang Township in the west, Gukang village of Guosui Township and Liyang village of Beisi township of Heshan City in the south, and Datong village of Datang in the north. The CPC Silian Town People's Committee and the town people's government are located in the Hengjie street of Silian Town, with jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages. The town government is 36 kilometers away from the county. In 1990, there were 193 natural villages, 166 villager committees and 253 villager groups, 8925 households with 46607 people, including 22948 women and 20331 labor force. By the end of 1998, Silian town had 16 villagers' committees and 202 natural villages. The total population of the town is 50184, including 47742 agricultural population.

The town's arable land area is 73100 mu, including 17700 mu of paddy field and 55800 mu of dry land. The main food crops are rice and corn. The cash crops include sugarcane, silkworm, honeysuckle, ginger, pepper and so on. The characteristic agricultural products are Taiwan's "little saint" tomato and five color pepper. The town agricultural service center has been established, which mainly implements the relevant agricultural policies, is responsible for the promotion of planting technology and experimental demonstration, and carries out diversified agricultural production, providing the necessary service guarantee for the development of rural agricultural economy.

Industry

Silian town is one of the important industrial towns in Xincheng. It is rich in stone and forestry resources, of which the marble reserves are more than 10 million cubic meters. The main varieties are silver dragon, coffee black, Cinderella, Overlord flower and wood grain king. The products sell well in Europe and America. Township enterprises are mainly engaged in sugar making, marble processing and firebrick making. In order to realize the strategy of "enriching the town with industry", the town Party committee and government established Silian industrial concentration zone in 2008, which covers an area of more than 1800 Mu and has complete infrastructure. It is located beside 322 National highway and is divided into sugar processing zone, stone processing zone and wood processing zone . With an annual output value of 130 million yuan, it has laid a solid foundation for the realization of a strong stone town in Central Guangxi, and is committed to building itself into the largest stone processing base in Central Guangxi.

Tourism characteristics

Silian town was built in the Ming Dynasty with a long history and rich tourism resources. . Nongting Yishu scenic spot is located at the east end of the double arch bridge on the river side of silianxia street. In 1583, Mo Zhenwei, a local official, built official houses and pavilions there, which were used by local officials to persuade farmers to park their cars in the countryside. In the past, there were two pines in front of the pavilion, which covered the ground with thick shade. Later, because the pavilion was destroyed and the trees survived, it became known as "farm Pavilion trees left behind".

Ancient temple bells

This scenic spot is a stone mountain. Ma'anshan, also known as Tianma mountain, is located 1 km north of Silian street. Northeast to southwest, the shape of the mountain is like a saddle, lifelike, so it is named.

Double arch rocking wave

This scenic spot is a double arch bridge, located in the west of silianxia street. It was built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. It has two arches and one pier, like two bends and a half moon across the river. There are more than ten stone steps at both ends of the bridge, and there are stone railings on both sides of the bridge. The whole bridge is of stone structure with ancient and elegant shape and superb architectural art.

Jade and green

That is, 1.5 km south of Silian street, Yuping mountain behind banshe village. The mountain lies in front of the street, with green trees and beautiful scenery. It is said that it is made of fairy's golden mirror, known as "jade screen towering green".

Lianjiang night moon
