Lidong town

Lidong town belongs to Yunfu City, Guangdong Province. Located in the middle of Yunan County, it borders Liantan town in the East, Qianguan town in the south, Dafang town in the West and Baozhu town in the north. The town is located in Lidong village, 57.2km away from the county.

As of 2017, the town has a permanent population of 15692, which governs 12 villages, 1 community and more than 200 natural villages, with a total area of 131.56 square kilometers. Lidong town is mainly agricultural, with a cultivated land area of 10738 Mu and a forest land area of 152721 mu, which is a typical mountainous forestry town.

In 2016, the town's GDP reached 167 million yuan, an increase of about 7.5% over the previous year; the total output value of industry and agriculture reached 156.6 million yuan, an increase of about 5.1% over the previous year; the total output value of industry reached 17.6 million yuan, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year; the total output value of agriculture reached 139 million yuan, an increase of 4.9% over the previous year; the national tax revenue reached 921000 yuan, an increase of 249% of the annual task of 370000 yuan; and the local tax revenue reached 324000 yuan.

Historical evolution

At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it was called Yuning capital, belonging to Xining county. Yuyi township was founded in 1946. Later, it merged with Yaohan and Tian'an to form Yuning township. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it was called Lidong administrative village. It was called Lidong Township in 1953, and it was still called Lidong Township after merging with Shamu Township in 1957. In 1958, neihan township was merged with neihan township. In September of the same year, it was merged into Dongfeng people's commune, belonging to a management area of the commune. In 1961, Lidong people's commune was set up from Dongfeng people's commune to determine the jurisdiction. In 1983, it was called Lidong district. In 1987, it was renamed Lidong township. In 1993, the township system was abolished and called Lidong town.

Location context

Lidong town is located at 111 ° 39 ′ E and 22 ° 58 ′ n, in the middle and south of Yunan County. It borders Liantan town in the East, Qianguan town in the south, Dafang town in the West and Baozhu town in the north. The town seat is 57.2 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total area of 131.56 square kilometers, ranking the fourth among the 18 towns in the county.

topographic features

Lidong town is divided into two parts by gaodongding mountains. In the East are Lidong, Shuiyuan, Shamu, Zhonghe, Licheng, WangYong, Moshan and Maliu villages. In the West are neihan, Zhongli, Nonglin and Huangmei villages. In the territory, the mountains are undulating and the terrain is towering. From northwest to Southeast, there is yanzhiding in the west, 820 meters above sea level, and chunfengding in the north, 721 meters above sea level.

hydrology

In Lidong Town, the Lidong river originates from niujiaowei, which flows from north to south through Shuiyuan, Lidong, Moshan and WangYong villages, and joins Nanjiang River in Liantan town. Neihan river originates from the tail of the river in Nonglin village, flows from west to East, passes through Nonglin, Zhongli and neihan village, and joins Nanjiang River in Liantan town.

Mineral resources

There are water, sand, quartz, white mud, granite, tin and other mineral resources in the territory, including quartz and granite with large reserves. Tin ore, tantalum niobium ore, distributed in WangYong, Shuiyuan, neihan, Zhongli and other villages.

Hydropower resources

As of 2009, there are 10 hydropower stations in Lidong Town, including Gancao Tang, neihan, baigongyin, Moshan, WangYong, Nonglin, Zhonghe, Huangmei and yongyang, with a total installed capacity of 1470 kwh. It is connected with the whole county. There are four power stations that can be developed and utilized, with an installed capacity of about 350 kW.

In 2011, the town had a total population of 20864 and a permanent resident population of 15647, of which 306 were born in that year with a birth rate of 14.79 ‰ and 224 died in that year with a death rate of 10.83 ‰ and a natural population growth rate of 3.96 ‰. The vast majority of them were Han nationality. Among the foreign married women, there were also Li, Miao and other minority women.

In 2017, 327 people were born in the registered residence of the whole town, 314 of whom were born in the policy, the policy fertility rate was 96.02%, the birth rate was 14.97 per thousand, the mortality rate was 7.09 per thousand, the natural growth rate was 7.87 per thousand, and the birth control rate was 74.03%. By the end of 2017, there were 15692 permanent residents.

Agriculture

Lidong town is mainly agricultural, with 10738 mu of arable land and 152721 mu of forest land. It mainly produces rice and cassava, and its agricultural and forestry products are mainly cinnamon, turpentine and Shatangju. In 2008, the planting area of fruit was 12120 mu, and the output was 3235 tons; the planting area of cinnamon was 49200 mu, and Shatangju was 4323 mu. Since the reform and opening up, we have increased investment in agricultural production, and developed a number of three-dimensional farming industries, such as aquaculture, livestock breeding, forest and fruit planting. Huangmei village demonstration base of miscellaneous fruits has been established, and three-dimensional planting models of cinnamon, seedless wampee, Nanyao, pine, fir and other economic forests have been set up along the highway. The bulk products include cinnamon, cinnamon oil, wood, pine resin, cassava, rice, etc. in 2008, it produced 2480 tons of cinnamon, 1650 tons of pine resin, and 7750 tons of wood department. In 2011, the total agricultural output value was 107.3 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 7666 yuan.

In 2016, the planting area of Shatangju reached 6500 mu, with an annual output of 6000 tons. Through technical guidance and strengthened services, 1500 mu of characteristic agriculture with huanghuanggan, huangzhizi, jinhuangmang, bergamot and Chenxiang as the main products has been developed.

Industry

In 1965, local villagers set up Lidong silkworm farm in Lidong Gancao pond, began to breed cassava silkworm, set up Lidong distillery, and used cassava to make wine; later, they successively set up cassava grain factory, Lidong comprehensive factory, Guiyou factory, Lidong bamboo shoot factory, Lidong sand turning factory, shoe factory and other enterprises. In 2010, we started Lidong garment factory. In 2016, the total industrial output value reached 17.6 million yuan, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year.

County Road x472 passes through Lidong, which was transformed into cement hard bottom pavement in 1998. Guangwu highway g80 passes through Lidong town (7.1km long). There are roads from Liantan to Lidong, Lidong to Zhongli, cunao and Dayong, and all administrative villages are connected by roads. The streets of Weizhen were hard bottomed and programmed telephone was opened. In 2000, the county road and town (Dayong to Zhen'an) line was transformed into a class IV standard concrete road. Lidong through shamutong Dafang road was opened, and the road from the town government to the administrative village was hardened with concrete. Each village has built a passenger waiting Pavilion, and there are dozens of buses to Liantan and the county every day.

Town and village construction

In 1993, Lidong town planned to build a new town. In 1996, a new office building of the Town Committee and government was built. The building has five floors with a total construction area of 2000 square meters. There are Lidong and Zhongli markets in the town to facilitate the transaction of agricultural and forestry products and daily necessities for the masses in mountainous areas. The town opened program-controlled telephone and Internet, and built a mobile base station. Cultural Square, catering service, water supply, power supply, general merchandise, agricultural and forestry products trading market and other facilities will be built in Weizhen. Cable TV, covering 80% of the villages in the town.

Lidong Liangtou banyan is located in Zhongli village. Its height is 30 meters. Its trunk is vigorous and intertwined. The whole tree covers an area of 462 square meters. Its diameter at breast height is 1.25 meters. It is more than 9 meters long. Its horizontal frame is at the East and West ends, arched in the middle, and its arch stem is 3.5 meters above the ground. It is like a half moon shaped arch bridge.
