Liusha West Street

Liushaxi street, located in the middle of Puning City, Jieyang City, is one of the seven street offices in Puning. It covers an area of 10.46 square kilometers and has a population of 130606 (2010). It has jurisdiction over 9 neighborhood committees and 4 administrative villages.

On January 9, 2019, Liusha West Street was selected as the "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" in 2018-2020 with Yangko.

Historical evolution

In 1888, Liusha market was set up.

In July 1949, the people's Government of Puning county was established in Liusha town.

In 1952, Puning County moved from Hongyang to Liusha town.

Liusha township was established in 1957.

It was incorporated into nanyangshan commune in 1958.

Liusha commune was established in 1961.

In 1983, it was changed into quicksand area.

Liusha town was changed in 1986.

In 1996, it covers an area of 63.7 square kilometers and has a population of 284000. It has jurisdiction over four management areas of Chengnan, Chengbei, Chengxi and nanpingli, as well as Xin'an, Xiwei, qiancai, Pinghu, Nanshan, Nanyuan, baishelong, zhaocuoliao, Chishui, Xintan, xiulong, fujiangliao, Douwen, Xixin, Dalin, dayangmei, xiaoyangmei, Xinzhai, Xilong, Shangtang, Huaxi, Dahuaxi, Hudong, liudoupu and Guoli There are 37 management areas, including cuoliao, Beishan, Mazha, hemelin, shiquanmei, sizhupu, xiangyuankeng, sizhuzai, Lizhai, Houyun, juntun, guangcaoyang and Dongpu.

On December 5, 2000, Liusha town was officially abolished and divided into four streets: Liusha East Street, Liusha West Street, Liusha South Street and Liusha North Street.

Economic situation

In 2015, the total social output value was 859 million yuan, an increase of 10% over 2014; the investment in fixed assets was 672 million yuan; the rural per capita income was 9524 yuan, an increase of 9.16%. The output value of industries above Designated Size reached 82 million yuan, and one new industrial enterprise, two service enterprises above Designated Size, and four commercial enterprises above designated size were added. The national tax (New caliber) warehousing exceeded the task, reaching 7.4102 million yuan, an increase of 14% over 2014, and the local tax warehousing reached 21.148 million yuan.

Honors

On February 2, 2019, it was named "the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" by the Ministry of culture and tourism in 2018-2020.
